We all love a bit of quality time spent messing around with glitter, paint, junk and scraps, and in many ways, that's my idea of a perfect night in! However, when you add to that the buzz of a club environment, complete with drinks, music and crowds of friendly people and I think you've just described my idea of heaven...
What I've actually just described is Hunga Munga, a club in East London that's all about craft, fun and helping the environment...
Each Hunga Munga party is filled with activities and materials and things to make and do from drawing and painting to papier mache and collage, while live bands play 'strange and fun music'. All guests bring along materials, making the parties a fun and worthwhile exercise in recycling, too.
Like most edgy, underground clubs, Hunga Munga makes itself known only on Myspace, so check their page for regular updates on forthcoming events. It also takes place on a weekday (boo!) but why not treat it as an educational evening class with added scones and music?
