In collaboration with the UK crafts council, the Jerwood Charitiable Foundation award the yearly Jerwood Applied Arts Prize to different disciplines of craft. Running on a 6 year cycle and covering the applied arts of jewellery, textiles, ceramics, glass, furniture and metal, the prize is a great celebration of creativity and excellence in the modern craft world.

For 2007 the award will be placed with someone in the creative field of Jewellery making and will showcase some of the most imaginative work around.

The work comes not only from jewellery designers but also from crafts people & artists. Entries have now closed, and a shortlist has been drawn up, however you can check the beautiful work out for yourself as it's exhibited at several locations in the UK through to May 2008.

The first exhibition of the work takes place in London at the Jerwood Space, with the winner being announced on June 25th 2007.

5 June – 22 July 2007
