This Cthulhu birthday cake was made by livejournal user paulafromtwoson. It looks like a delicious birthday tribute to the Great Old Ones to me!
There are no instructions provided on how to make the cake, but I think I can take a guess. When I make something similar - and I definitely want to make something similar - I'll start with a regular cake round. Some creative cuts will form the tentacles and head shape, while two shades of green icing will provide the color. The eyes might be made from frosting, but I'm wondering if you could do something with fruit pieces.
There are tons of other Cthulhonic crafts in this great new community. I'm looking forward to seeing all of the tentacled creations, both scary and cute.
