Meet the bloggers: Tricia McDonald

My name is Tricia McDonald, and I live in Vancouver, on the west coast of Canada. I recently started writing my own craft blog. I'm 39 and have been making crafts for most of my life. I am obsessed with knitting and do it everywhere; I also crochet, do photography, origami, and calligraphy, and am learning to sew. I've dabbled in jewellery-making, leather work, cross-stitch, tie-dye, batik and sundry other crafts; these days, I'm making toys, bags, scarves, clothing and greeting cards. For the most part, I write my own patterns or simply improvise as I go, but also enjoy trying other people's patterns -- usually with some (or many) adaptations. I like learning, sharing information and ideas, and informally teaching friends to do simple crafts. I live and work in a small studio apartment, and am, of necessity, becoming a bit of an expert on keeping a space organized with many craft supplies easily at hand.
