Adhesives are one of the most important weapons in my arsenal of craft. Without the proper adhesive I would never be able to glue metal together or otherwise stick things to other things. And so I am VERY happy to have found This to That (Glue Advice).
The site is very simple. There are two drop-down menus so you can choose your materials and a “Let’s Glue!” button that will take you to your results. But don’t be fooled by the front page. Once you have your results, you have a lot of knowledge based on experiments and experience at your fingertips.
There is also glue trivia. Did you know that the cow on all Elmer’s products is named Elsie and she is the spouse of the bull that the company is named after (Elmer himself)? I had no idea! You can also find news stories that involve glue, a glue philosophy, and an archive full of “Glue of the Month” winners.
Before I glue, I check thistothat.com. Of course, I usually wind up reading the site instead of gluing my objects…. You could say I am glued to the screen.
