Monday Inspiration: IKEA Hacker

ikea%20hacker.jpgI admit it: I love going to IKEA. Whether buying furniture, or just browsing and imagining living in the various display rooms, I have great fun envisioning all the creative possibilities of the products there. And far too much of my furniture comes from there . . . but I really don't want my home to look like everyone else's! So I'm forever looking for ways to take the basic IKEA furniture and make it better fit my (tiny) apartment, and make it look like mine. IKEA Hacker is a site that showcases the adaptations that people have made to various IKEA products.

Everything from shelves, headboards and coffee tables to picture frames, fabric, boxes and lamps, have been painted, cut apart, reassembled, and used for unlikely purposes. Whether you want to achieve an unusual look from basic furnishings, or simply want to better organize your home, check out this site for lots of DIY inspiration.
