Monday Inspiration: Leatherwork by bob_basset

LiveJournal member bob_basset uses leather like no one else I've seen. From molded sculptures of mythical creatures, to elaborate masks and hoods and form-fitting fetish wear, these leather creations are sophisticated, eerie, and very beautiful. The bird and animal masks are decorated with fur and feathers, and are made to fit on a person's head, making them somehow more frightening than they would be if they were just displayed on a wall. The detail involved in this leather sculpture is nothing short of astonishing. I have no biographical information about bob_basset, whose journal is written primarily in Russian, but I continue to be intrigued (and at times disturbed) by his/her talent, imagination, and sense of eroticism.
