Review: Knit.1 Magazine goes green

pp03a.jpgKnit.1 magazine is a knitting magazine presented by the creators of VogueKnitting. The magazine is published four times a year and is filled with creative and new knit patterns, knitting tips and tricks, and articles relating to knitting. The Summer 2007 issue of Knit.1 is "The Green Issue", with information about forty-five natural knit materials, knit projects from recycled materials, and of course, tons of patterns. One of my favourite patterns that I would love to make is the "Birds and the Leaves" warm and woodsy blanket [pictured]. In addition to the multitude of clothing patterns, Knit.1 always manages to provide patterns for other unique creations, such as knit veggies for this month.

Most importantly, Knit.1 always has stylish and wearable knit patterns with clear and concise instructions, using wool that isn't impossible to find at your local store. At $6.99 US (or $8.50 in Canada) per month, I highly recommend Knit.1 magazine to those looking for some new knitting projects for over the summer.
