I saw this posted on one of my favourite crafting forums today, and just had to share! This piece is created with (I believe) ceramic tiles, and is just a great example of when crafting meets art and the amazing things you can do with just a few great materials. I'm sure quite a few people will also be familliar with the mosaic space invaders that are dotted around the world, we have a few here in Manchester too.
I've found small ceramic tiles in my local craft store before now, and have been tempted to buy them but never really have. I might hit my local DIY stores this summer and see if they have any broken pieces they would be willing to give away or sell me for real cheap and do a bit of mosaic work of my own! If anyone else does do any mosaic work, I'd love to see it :)
