Tuesday Trends: The ripple effect

ripple%20rug.jpgHere at Crafty Crafty we like to keep an eye on those elusive craft trends that come and go finding patterns, info and pictures of the best and the worst examples out there. And, of course, where you can go to make a better one of your own...

Let's take crochet. Not so long ago, everyone in that world was making amigurami, and now the biggest craze seems to be for ripple rugs, which are suddenly all over the message boards, and the web is awash with pictures of them - from these rather scary, UFO-shaped creations to this rather funky one shown in production on Flickr. And if you've really got the ripple bug badly, check out the no end in sight ripple along blog.

Are the ripple rugs out in force where you are? Or is the next trend already looming?

Hi there Sunny - really sorry about this. I have now fixed the problem, but I'm not entirely sure why it repeated like that in the first place - certainly wasn't the intention! Hope you'll forgive us for this hiccup.
