I live in Florida, where it never snows. It's rarely even winter-coat weather, actually. So snow is something I have mostly seen in movies and in various photographs. Still, snowflakes, with their unique structure, are both fascinating and beautiful.
So, when I discovered the Make-a-Flake online snowflake generator, I was totally charmed. I've made dozens of snowflakes, carefully snipping with my virtual scissors. I don't save all of them - it's possible to mess up even a virtual snowflake - but with a click of the mouse I can begin again.
I usually play with Make-a-Flake when I want to be doing something creative but don't have any materials at hand. A quiet moment on my lunch break, a few minutes before bed, any little moment when you are able to get online can serve as a Snowflake Break. Because there is no pressure to have an actual physical product in hand, it is even more relaxing than real crafting sometimes.
