I'm not mad about denim jumpers (loose dresses that go over a shirt), but I AM mad for the story being told on this altered garment from Voodoo Cafe. Something about the way the fabric is now packed with words really appeals to me.
There are other garments featured on Voodoo Cafe's altered clothes page. But I keep coming back to the front of this dress. Maybe it is because we expect stories to be on pages and maybe it is because the words - in addition to telling a story - also form a pattern on the simple fabric. The words communicate on two different visual levels.
What I'm picturing is a pair of pants, maybe something styled as simply as yoga pants, with a wide leg. I don't think I want black to be my base - maybe red, with black text. I'm not sure what story I'll tell, but I am already looking forward to telling it.
