All hail the Heavy metal quilt from Quiltsryche
You wouldn't catch your average heavy metal fan sleeping under a quilt covered in embroidered peonies, would you. And thanks to the handiwork of Seattle based designer and illustrator, Boo Davis, now they won't have to!
On Boo's site Quiltsryche, you'll find an awe-inspiring selection of 'heavy metal' quilts, with names like 'Skullfucked' (above) and 'bangover', an 'ode to thorwing the goat' which you'll just have to see for yourself at the site! Many of the designs are made using old band merchandise, like concert tees, banners and evil-looking motifs, which are screenprinted on to the fabric.
Impressive though they are, these quilts ain't cheap. So I imagine they'll be appearing in more rock stars' bedrooms than the lairs of teenage rock fans.
