Business cards: Not just for executives

How often have you complimented a stranger, or received a compliment, for some hand-crafted accessory or item of clothing and then forgotten who made it by the time you got back home? I know it happens to me all the time. I'm often complimenting strangers, though.
If only the person had a business card for the artist or crafter who made the item! Then I'd be able to take something with me and find the appropriate etsy shop or website. Fortunately, there are plenty of great resources for business card printing. My personal favorite, here in the US, is Overnight Prints.
Overnight Prints is a web-based printing company that will produce business cards, post cards, letterhead, and just about anything else a company needs to have a well-stocked stationery cabinet. Their prices are amazing as well.
What's really great is that you don't have to sacrifice quality for economy. 150 single-sided business cards will only cost you US$10, but they will be printed on heavy cardstock with an optional glossy coating. No flimsy cards here.
There's also an option to print double-sided cards, which opens up all sorts of possibilities. Place a product shot on the back of your card so people can see just what you make. Or put a picture of yourself on your personal calling card, so that people can associate your name with your face.
Business card don't have to be limited to stodgy executives with plain white rectangles. Have some fun and promote yourself, all at the same time.

Beautiful card, Marianne! And timely topic for me, as I've just been working on a design for a new business card. (I last had cards made more than 10 years ago when the focus of my business was a bit different, so they really need a complete overhaul now.) Being outside of the U.S. I'd use a different company, but your article reminds me that I should check online and not just at local shops.
