Food craft: Baked potato cake
Mmm, a baked potato. Looks delicious. Except . . . it's not a potato; it's a cake! Anne Heap, of Pink Cake Box in Denville, NJ, custom designs and makes a great variety of elaborate and whimsical cakes for weddings and other occasions. About the baked potato cake, she says, "We delivered this potato cake to the Lincoln Harbor yacht club in Weehawken, NJ. It was for a women’s 50th birthday and apparently she is a big fan of potatoes. The potato cake is a spice cake with raspberry chambord filling. We also included a mashed potato pie with the cake. Yum!"
