Andrea Dezsö is an accomplished multimedia artist, writer and teacher. Dezsö grew up in Romania and now lives in New York City, where she teaches at Parsons the New School for Design. She makes incredibly detailed paper cut sculptures and one of a kind pop-up books, among other projects that include mosaics, embroidery and sculpture.

The examples shown here give just a taste of Dezsö's artistic scope. On the left is an excerpt from "The Day We Changed Our Lives Forever," hand-sewn paper tunnel books that are lit by LED lights that can be adjusted by those viewing the artwork. On the right is a pop-up book entitled "New York Dreams."

Dezsö has displayed her work in many New York galleries, has been commissioned to create public art, and was featured recently in the New York Times. Visit her site for more information on her art work and writing.
