When I first read the title of this project over on Craftster.org, I was a bit concerned that someone had covered a dresser in Starburst wrappers! I shouldn't have been worried - Craftster olga's dresser is a gorgeous tribute to her grandmother and an inspiration to everyone who alters old furniture.
I'm particularly in love with the way olga used dowels to create the starburst pattern itself. Instead of just painting the lines on, she uses texture and a contrasting wood color to really make this piece look rich.
As olga says at the end of her description, don't be intimidated to try something new and complex-looking! The process is often a lot simpler than the results make it look.
