Inspiration: We Work In A Fragile Material

We Work In A Fragile Material is a craft-based design group from Sweden. The ten members of the group use a variety of media in an attempt to challenge and expand people's perception of craft and its function in society. They put on unusual displays involving ceramics, photography, paper, textiles and other materials. Their shows are often experimental and interactive, inviting community participation, and are fun and quirky while still aiming to examine social issues such as the relationship between gender and power. WWIAFM first organized in 2001, and have since put on multiple shows and performances in Sweden, Norway and the U.S.
