In Mauritius our winters are not as cold as the rest of the southern hemisphere but our evenings are starting to become a bit "chilly". As there is no need to wear gloves, ear muffs and hat, I was looking more for a beanie that could warm up my ears. Thanks to knitchicks I came across these funky tomato hats! The pattern is so simple and I reckon would only take a few days to do. They were originally done for a baby of 6-12 months but if you like them as much as I do (and wouldn't mind walking around with a giant tomato on your head) then all you need to do is increase the size of your needles from 4.5mm to 5.5mm.
You could also change the colour of the yarn to pink to make yourself or that tiny someone a strawberry beanie!
