Punk Knits was set up by a couple who enjoy the rock'n'roll lifestyle and who also want to create fabulous, edgy clothing from yarn. Their recent book features some great patterns for alternative wool clothing, and the models are adorned with colourful tattoos and body piercings. They have now designed and released their own knitting needles which may not appeal to your Granny, but will certainly give the ladies at the knitting bee something to talk about. They are made from bamboo and have a resin skull on the ends. They are available in size US size 13 (9mm) and are 9 inches long. The needles cost US$14 and for each pair sold US$1 will be donated to the charity Children's Network International.
