I'm always searching for interesting craft blogs, particularly those written by fibre artists. There's an overabundance of blogs and craft sites to read, but some sites stand out. Lene Alve's site, Dances With Wool, is one that caught my eye. Alve, a knitter who lives in Finnish Lapland, does beautiful work.
Pictured here is Alve's version of the French Market Bag from Knitty. She used Lett Lopi yarn, and once it was felted, embroidered tiny flowers on it in delicate colours, giving it a unique and lovely appeal. This is just one example of the quality of her work. Read her blog regularly for interesting commentary on knitting, weaving, yarns, and related topics, as well as stunning and well-photographed finished objects.
