Review: U-handbag - pure pattern heaven

annes.jpgOne of the most annoying things about crafty blogs is when the author(s) don't share any of their patterns with you! Ok, I know people are trying to make a living, and they'd much rather you bought their designs than copied them, but throw us a bone every now and then guys! Over at U-handbag they have no such qualms, and tutorials make up a large part of their blog. They even get their readers to send in pictures of the bags they've created from the online instructions, and have a gallery to show them off.

I know most women love handbags, so this site is a great way to indulge yourself, as it is packed ull of lovely bags, like this one in their 'Inspiration gallery', and the one shown on the left which was made by a reader who'd never stitched a bag in her life before. They have lots of categories showcasing every style and shape of bag, plus they have an online store where you can buy sundries like zippers, bag feet and closures. It's great fun reading the thoughts of Lisa, the blogger, she is so passionate about her craft, but without being smug and dull! In her list of 'bag making essentials' she cites a cup of tea (milk and one sugar). A girl after my own heart!
