Ravelry is all the rage in knitting and crochet blogs and communities. It's a website where people can organize and share information about their projects and supplies. There are sections where crafters can post photographs of their yarn collection, knitting needles and crochet hooks, and display works in progress and finished objects. Others can peruse your account and leave comments, while you can see what they're working on. There's a large database of patterns, and members can volunteer to participate in editing these pages for accuracy.
One downside to this site is that all photos must be uploaded via Flickr, which has a tendency to be slow or impossible to load on on some computers.
Ravelry is still in the process of being established, so if you wish to join, you need to put your name on list and wait to be contacted.
