The Stirling engine is a "closed-cycle, piston heat" engine. That opens up a lot of possibilities for engineers, but doesn't really apply to crafters. Or does it?
The translation (courtesy of Google) is a little funny on this page, but you can still read the details about this mini Sterling engine crafted from paper. It is designed to sit on top of your tea cup.
There are some materials that aren't made from paper - like the aluminum base and plastic axle. But the majority of the engine is made from cardboard and decorated with gold papers.
It's available as a kit, but I'm not 100% sure of the conversion. I think it's about US$30. Not a bad price for a hot-tea powered engine!
