At home Photography Studio
As crafters, makers & artists we all need to document what we make and flash it around on the internet. One thing that really helps is getting some good lighting, a decent plain backdrop and a clean image. Realistically, we can't take all our half-finished items to a real-life photography studio in order to get some decent shots, so we need to find a homemade, cheap way of doing this.
I for one have a pretty packed art studio as it is without taking over a section for a permanent plain backdrop, and after googling I found a great tutorial for creating a simple back drop style studio for photographing smaller objects whilst keeping to a cheap budget. This tutorial on the diy photography website gives some great pointers in making sure you get the best photographs you can for one a few pence!
Of course, after using that for a while you may want to move on to making foamboard light boxes, experimenting with standing lights, and finding use for sheets of paper in macro photography. The tutorials for the homemade studios are great and really informative!

Thanks, this was really helpful!
