Inspiration: Etsuko fuyura fabric

reprodepot_1967_169079924.gifEvery so often you find a range of fabric which cries out to you -"make me into something special". That's what I heard when I discovered Etsuko Fuyura. I have searched the internet for details of Etsuko and can't find anything, so I have no idea if they are a he or she (If anyone knows please tell me!) The range of fabrics are bold and colourful and some might say - bonkers! Etsuko takes silhouettes and line drawings of wild animals and mixes them with polka dots and bright patchwork. I'm not sure exactly where the inspiration comes from but it works for me. You can purchase many of the designs from the fabulous Reprodepot. The 'Echino Wolf - eggplant multi' (shown above) is US$17.95 per yard and the fabric is 45" wide. It's 100% cotton medium-weight.
