I've just finished sewing a felt toadstool onto one of my daughter's t-shirts and it got me thinking how these little fun-guys (see what I did there?) are so well loved in the crafting community. Despite the fact that in the wild the red and white ones are usually pretty poisonous we use the image of these, and mushrooms, regularly in children's books, clothing and toys. The big folks seem to like them too, judging by some of the cool 'shroom accessories available on Etsy.
