While I have been working on my soldering technique, my head has been filled with dreams of welding. This instructable, by site user noahw, hasn't damped my enthusiasm a bit.
Welding is the ultimate hot glue. It involves using metal to, in essence, glue other large pieces of metal together. The temperatures and materials involved, however, aren't found in your local craft shop.
Setting up a dedicated space for welding takes both space and money. At the moment, I have neither - at least not enough to learn this sort of craft! I'll have to keep dreaming of the ultimate hot glue.
