I spotted this close-fitting, cable knit pullover on Fathom Harvill, a great blog for patterns and inspiration. I thought this one would be a great items to start knitting now; a nice, substantial project to keep you busy until you'll need it in winter!
I particularly like the Celtic-style braid that forms the edging, and subtle narrowing around the waist. The pattern is available online as a PDF for free, and you can find it here.
