Geek craft: Hobbibot
When looking for crafty robots on Flickr, I ran across Hilary Lang's wonderful creation, the Hobbibot. Hilary, of Wee Wonderfuls (featured here recently) made this fabulous robot. It's perfect for the overworked person who has no time to spare for relaxation and hobbies. Says Hilary, "No time to knit? Don't worry. Go ahead and work right up til bedtime. Wash all those dishes and do one more load of laundry because the Hobbibot will knit that baby sweater for you." Her tongue-in-cheek commentary enhances the delightful robot.
Hobbibot is a stuffed plush toy embellished with stitch counters, knitting needles, and a yarn-dispensing pack on its back. (See Hilary's site for more photos.) Why not take inspiration from the Hobbibot, and make your own crafty robot customized to "help" you with your own hobbies?
