On Saturday September 29th 2007, Manchester Metropolitan University will play host to the second Manchester Artist's Book Fair. The Book Fair will take place in the Holden gallery, located in the Grosvenor building on Oxford Road (opposite All Saints park). Running from 10.30am-6pm and with free admission, why not take a look?
Last year the book fair was a great success, featuring altered books made by Artists & crafts people from across Manchester and the rest of the UK. This year there will be talks, readings and possibly a workshop to boot! As a special event they will also be opening the library's special book collection for public viewing (just across the street, and trust me this collection is ace, I saw it a couple of years ago.. you even have to wear gloves!). Books will (I think) be available for purchase at the event.
