While browsing etsy for some interesting ephemera, I found this listing from Assorted Olives. Bottle caps! Bottle caps are a great craft material that can be used in everything from collage work to wearable art jewelry and accessories.
From bottle cap belts to necklace pendants, you can recreate all sorts of fun accessories with bottle caps.
Find a unique bottle cap and add a pinback for a fun and retro brooch. String several bottle caps (altered using the directions for the necklace pendant) together for a funky bracelet. Add them to bobby pins to wear in your hair.
Bottle caps can also be used to add a finishing touch to collage work. They can serve as frames for miniature portraits in mixed media work. These round bits of metal can be recycled in some very crafty ways so next time you open a bottle, keep the cap around.
