Bugknits' Miniatures to star in new Neil Gaiman film
Bugknits' fantastically tiny knitteed creations are about to hit the big-time, as they've landed a role in forthcoming Hollywood film, Coraline.
If you've not yet seen Bugknits, the work of Althea Merback, they're a range that has been described as 'capable of clothing a caterpillar'. Small enough to fit on a fingertip, the intricate items are miniaturised 'real' garments, as they function and work just as larger versions do. They have pockets, buttons and even labels.
The film is an adaptation of a Neil Gaiman book, made by Nightmare Before Christmas director Henry Selick. With such imaginative minds on board, I can see the movie being very pretty indeed!
