Halloween: Pick of the best pumpkin stencils

Jack-O-Lantern_cat.jpgWe've shown you the basics, but if you're bored of toothy grins and triangle noses and want something a little more advanced on your pumpkin, you'll be needing to use a stencil. We've collected together some of the best on the web so you can have the coolest lantern on the block.

1. Geeky pumpkins featuring Mario, Dwarf (from World of Warcraft), Stubbs the Zombie and other favourites. You might also want to make a smiley pumpkin with this emoticon set, and for the true geek, there's even one for the Linux penguin!

2. Animal Faces, including cats, bats, owls and dogs. Not actually an animal, but I can't forget spiders here - particularly cool if you carve a web shape as well!

3. Tim Burton characters: everyone's favourite spooky director has some awesome pumpkin inspiration. There's a selection of Jack Skellington pumpkin stencils here and a nice, big Jack face here.

4. Party Themes including 'happy halloween' text, Boo!, Simpsons faces and more.

5. Witches galore: My favourites are here, here and here.

6. Really quirky faces: check out these patterns for Wizard of Oz themes, American presidents, including George Bush and Bill Clinton, a dreadlocked pumpkin, and a cyclops pumpkin.
