March is the month to get people hooked on crochet, as the Crochet Guild of America has declared it National Crochet Month.
The Guild want to see crochet spread like a virus this month, and to get us passing on the habit to as many of our friends and family we can round up: "Teach someone to crochet in March," suggests Rita Weiss, its president: "It is essential that we pass on the skill of crochet. What better way to empower a child or an adult than by giving them a crochet hook and ball of yarn? The skill of crochet will spark their imagination and bring lifelong enjoyment."
Getting people as addicted as you are!? If it all sounds a bit inethical to you, you could always do the saintly thing and get involved in a bit of crafting for charity. Check out the Guild's list of charities that are always looking forward to crafty donations, and of course, our own good causes list here.
