How to: crochet a granny square

granny squares.jpgLet's face it; it's these endlessly fascinating yet largely pointless objects of desire that got many of us into crochet in the first place. You can kid yourself you'll turn them into an Afghan one day, but we all know that making granny squares satisfies some deeper need to just create for the hell of it, and box away the results for gloating over with fellow crafters on a rainy day.

If you're new to crochet and are itching to get your granny on then I've found the perfect easy tutorial on how to make these fabled squares. Soon you'll be coming up with colour combinations of your very own and before you know it there'll be no stopping you.
