How to: make a fishbowl Jack 'o' lantern

If you find all that carving and scooping a bit of a chore, there are plenty of other ways to make jack 'o' lanterns. Last week, we saw some 'pumpkins' made from Apple Macs, but a cheaper solution suggested by Bella Dia is to take an old fish bowl and decorate it with glass paints. The whole process shouldn't take more than 10 or 15 minutes. You'll end up with a glowing lamp you can bring out year after year.

Step 1: Gather your tools: globe-shaped fish bowl, transluscent glass paints and brushes.

Step 2: paint on a yellowish layer.

Step: 3: Create the lantern's features using an orange layer on top of the yellow 'glow'
