Last night, I was lucky enough to take part in a crochet session with Aromy, a recent convert to the craft whose crocheted chillis caught my eye last week.
While I struggled, along with my fellow novices, to come to grips with the double crochet stitch and 'magic circle' (you won't be seeing any work of my own on here any time soon, I'm afraid: a friendship bracelet just doesn't cut it!) Aromy revealed the 'goal' of our planned series of lessons: this utterly lovable amigurumi alien from this free pattern. Don't the colours Aromy chose suit him? I'm told he likes a drink, too...
