Plush You hosts second San Francisco event

couchesanna.jpgLast year's inaugural Plush You event was clearly a success, as the show that celebrates the squishy world of plush toys is returning to San Francisco's Double Punch Gallery for a second show this month. Work on display includes these wonderfully comfy-looking miniature sofas (complete with 'dust bunnies') by Anna of Mochi Mochi land.

If you'd like to try your hand at making some interesting and lovable plushies, Anna has some great patterns to have a go at making on her blog. It might take some time before you can conjure up anything quite as special as the sofas, but I'm personally quite taken with her free slugs and snails pattern, which makes the crawly bugs look anything but creepy!

From the site: 'Plush You! is an annual exhibit that showcases plush creations from artists all over the globe. The first show was held at Schmancy in downtown Seattle in 2005. Since then, Plush You has grown tremendously. With a recent book from F+W Publications, an enormous list of applicants each year, as well as a second, 2008 show scheduled at Double Punch Gallery in San Francisco -- Plush You continues to show the world the impressive and boundless possibilities of plush!'
