Pom poms are everywhere at the moment, and very much in vogue on everything from shoes to hats. And they're the pefect easy-peasy project to get into before Christmas...
On Friday, I had heaps of fun making pom poms at the MAKE Lounge pom pom party; an event so full of yarn, champagne and cake that I'm surprised they managed to get any of us out of the door at the end of the night. The great thing about making pom-poms at this time of year is that they make perfect gift decorations, and the selection I made will soon be decorating a tree. It's a great skill to perfect in time for Christmas. There are many ways to make the colourful puffs of yarn, but there's a good how-to illustration here.
Further proof of the trend was starring at this weekend's BUST Craftacular in London: Pom Pom International, a great site that lets you post up pictures of you and your yarny friends.
