As practitioners of the officially-recognised, preferred medium of cynics everywhere, you can expect cross-stitchers to come up with something suitibly venemous for Valentines day, and this year, they've not disappointed.
Browsing the Subversive Cross Stitch Flickr pool this week, I've noticed a flurry of activity that would make cupid's drop his arrows and run away in terror. My favourites are by A Wonderful Treat, who made the doily tapestries pictured left and top right; 'Whatever' is by Mr X Stitch.
