TUESDAY TRENDS: Best places to enjoy coffee, cake and craft

amigurumi coffee cup.jpgCoffee and craft are two of my favourite things beginning with 'c' (or, indeed, any letter), and a new breed of estabishment is taking the wise step of combining the two concepts for a new, creative experience.

Southfield the Paper People in Dalkeith, Midlothian, are the latest to catch on to the trend and have opened a new 'craft club' at its own on-site coffee shop where crafters can get together in a relaxed and friendly environment while getting their caffiene and crafting kick in one go.

Do you know of any other coffee shops offering a side order of yarn and buttons? If so, I'd love to hear about it for our forthcoming Crafty Crafty guide to craft spaces.

The best places I've been able to enjoy a cuppa as I craft have so far been Prick your Finger, The Make Lounge (OK, it was champagne in that case) and my Mum's living room, where I am currently being taught to knit! But I'd love to see that list grow.
