I've seen some marvelous IKEA hacks recently, but they just keep on coming, and keep on getting better. This one uses a simple Lack table as its basis for this very funky design featuring bamboo veneer. Like many of the best hacks, it's inspired by a significantly more expensive piece of furniture, but ends up having far more cool points than the original; in this case a 'sakura' table by design guru, Uhuru.
If you want to see how it's done, check out this tutorial. I imagine the same technique could be used to decorate any shiny, hard surface.
