Vote for Crafty Crafty's best post of all time

crafty-vote.jpgOK. so perhaps using a term like 'of all time' is over-egging the pudding a bit for a website that's been around for just two short years, but in that time we've explored just about every type of craft imaginable, and I never stop being surprised at which stories generate the most interest.

To celebrate two years of Crafty Crafty, I've rounded up our most popular posts to give you the chance to pick your favourite.

Follow the jump to see the top five and cast your vote!

1. The button-top table

In May last year, Marrianne Kirby showed us how to transform an old thrift-shop table with buttons - another shining example of how putting buttons on almost anything will dramatically improve its looks. The table was a resounding success here on Crafty Crafty, finally making it into the hallowed pages of Craft Magazine.

2. The Amazing Owls Sweater

One of the most-loved projects ever to appear on Crafty Crafty was the 'amazing owls sweater' by Needled; a beautiful and original piece of knitting that quickly became an internet sensation.

3. The giant Q*Bert Quilt

We feature a lot of geek craft on Crafty, and games-related posts are always a big hit. This giant Q*Bert quilt, however, has proven the most popular, perhaps due to the faintly obscure nostalgia it seems to stir up. I used to love the little guy, apart from when he went the wrong way and got eaten by snakes, and I wanted to smash the screen in. Happy days.

4. Our mini top hat tutorial

This one would be a mystery to me if I hadn't briefly dabbled in the strange and whimsical world of Gothic Lolita in my youth. It's a fairly basic and unexceptional pattern, but the fact is there are very few mini hat tutorials on the web, but there's a huge demand for this cutesy Japanese accessory, so we're providing serious services to Kawaii here!

5. Make your own wedding dress (are you crazy?)

You know there's a recession on when luxury items like wedding dresses get the DIY treatment, and sure enough, this post has shot up in the popularity stakes since talk ot the credit crunch got underway. It seems that there are plenty of brides-to-be that are 'crazy' enough to take on such a project, and with results like this, made for less than a hundred dollars can you be surprised?
