Knitted bag made from bags

knittedbagbag.jpg We have featured crafts using plastic carrier bags in the past, including bags, but this one is probably the one with the most intricate design - look at those butterflies, cupcakes and flowers! Emily Blades cut up old carrier bags, turned them into yarn and knit them to create this bag using a pattern from the book Knits to Care and Share by I Knit London founders Gerard Allt and Craig Carruthers.

If you can't wait to buy the book to try out knitting with plastic bags, then check out the related links below to follow a tutorial on how to make yarn from carrier bags.
