To celebrate gaining our 1000th Twitter follower (we think it was Ms Serendipitist but can't be too sure) I've put together a few of the great craft projects featuring birds similar to the fabulous twitter logo.
The bird motif does really seem to be 'taking flight' at the moment, which I suspect is partly a spring-chick theme, coupled with the growing love for microblogging it's come to represent.

♥ 'Modern TWITTER reversible pinafore dress' by Lassiegirl. One side of the dress is covered in 'Twitter birds', while the inside is polka-dot for when you're feeling less geeky. $24 on Etsy
♥ Aqua Bird by Cookoorikoo. How adorable is this little bird? She's made from felted, recycled wool sweaters, hand-stitched and her sleepy eyes are embroidered. I love. I want.
♥ Cute canaries Obi buckle. This indie-tastic belt is made by Gamiworks, using lacquered Japanese chiyogami (old-paper) and high quality polished nickel mechanisms. Yours for $10 on Etsy
♥ Bright yellow dove brooch with dainty bow. Get those spring/summer brights going before you even have to change into shorts with this cute birdie brooch. Hand-stitched with embroidery thread from 100% pure wool felt, it's $14 from Peppermint Designs.
