Make your own non-grannified slippers
I've banished ordinary shop-bought slippers from my home because 99% of them are so staid and grannyish looking. Even the ones from trendy stores seem to age the wearer by about 50 years, so no thank you very much to that!
Despite myself, I still get cold feet - an issue that starts to become a problem for anyone who lives in a mostly wooden-floored house at this time of year. The only solution is to make your own, and one of the best methods for making soft shoes is felting. Craftzine have just put up a tutorial here that tells you how to make the colourful slippers pictured above, and they promise it's very easy. Why not give it a go before your toes turn blue?
