Sometimes craft goes a little off-plan. A wonky hem here. A dropped stitch there. A slightly sinister teddy bear with one eye higher than the other. It has happened to us all. We pass it off as 'that handmade look' and sidle quietly away while the receiver of said gift pretends to look as if they're ever so pleased.
Well there's slightly sinister craft and then there's craft that is so very wrong that if you were to create it in your house you would lock it in a draw, staple that draw shut, sell your house and move abroad under an assumed name just to get away from it.
And that is where Regretsy comes in.
Regretsy is a blog for handmade sellers to sell their wares. Like the Etsy that its name echoes it is full of handmade bits to buy. Handmade by sellers who, quite frankly, should have a stern talk with their hands about what they're creating. Witness the cuddly 'Catnip Foetus Toy in pink', the "Prairie Dog Foot and Black Beaded Necklace" and other craft too disturbing to even tell you about here lest I offend your sensibilities.
All blog posts then link to the sellers actual Etsy shop where you can pay your shiny pennies and get yourself the likes of a 'Handmade Placenta' or a 'Corn Poo Soap' to add that handmade horror to your home.
Good grief.
