Yep, I'm still on a quest to find the ultimate Oyster (travel) card holder and I've come close to hitting the motherload with Sew Smitten this week. With the help of a laminator, that marvelous tool that turns scrappy bits of paper into instant art, they've created a fun little range that includes nostalgic kids' tv and toy references (Rupert the Bear, Rainbow, Care Bears and the current 'face of fashion' Mickey Mouse), map pieces and some rather cute characters they seem to have devised by themselves, including Otto the Owl (top left).
If you'd like a bit of fun to punctuate your daily commute, you couldn't do better than to snap up a wallet or two from Sew Smitten. But if you don't like any of the designs or think you could do better, they'll be happy to make some up for you Moo-card-style, using Jpeg images provided by you. I think this would make a cracking gift: a pic of someone's treasured pet or favourite food would guarantee them a great start to the day, n'est-ce pas?
