Being a lover of all things yarn-based I stumbled across this lovely wool-flavoured video on Twitter the other day.
The two San Francisco-based animators, Tony Benna and Adam Avilla, began the project after losing their jobs due to the evil recession. They created the project for a mobile phone company, using "one of the most unruly mediums known to man: Yarn, which has a similar controllability to boiled spaghetti." The yarn in the video pours out of speakers like music and winds its way around the city.
While I'm not sure that yarn is that hard to deal with, though I'll admit that a couple of hours spent untangling a misbehaving skein can change my mind about that, I have to say that it is an utterly beautiful and clever little video. Enjoy it.
